Chenar Table Lamp

A glazed white ceramic base carved into a deep diamond lattice, under a natural linen drum shade that keeps the light even.

The base is formed as a rounded ovoid and then cut so the lattice stands proud of the surface, which is what gives it depth once a lamp is lit behind the shade. The white glaze pools a little in the recesses and stays lighter on the raised diamonds, so the texture still reads in daylight with the lamp off. The linen drum shade is wide and open at both ends, spreading light sideways across a console rather than throwing a disc on the ceiling. This is a full sized table lamp built to stand alone on a surface, not a small accent piece.

Where it works: a bedside table in a pair, a console table, or a living room side table where the carved surface can be seen close up.
