Anjir Wall Light

A long tapered brass cone on a round backplate, finished in a brushed bronze that reads almost black, with a clear cut crystal at the tip that carries the light.

The body is a single taper of solid brass, thickest at the middle and drawn to a point at the bottom, fixed to a plain round backplate at its midpoint. The crystal at the top is clear and cut at angles, so the light leaving it breaks in several directions instead of one, and it unscrews from the threaded fitting underneath for cleaning. The bronze finish is worked into the brass rather than sprayed on, dark enough to look black on a pale wall while keeping warmth in the highlights.

Where it works: along a hallway, in a living room as a pair, or on a landing where the length of the fitting is an advantage.
