Nargesi Wall Light

A round antique brass wall plate with a short straight arm and a cream fabric cylinder shade, small enough to pair either side of a bed.

The shade is a straight sided cylinder rather than a taper, which keeps the light column narrow and stops it spilling across a headboard. Cream fabric over an inner lining means it glows softly through the wall of the shade as well as casting up and down out of the open ends. The backplate and arm are steel in an antique brass finish, warm rather than yellow, so they sit comfortably against both white and colour drenched walls. It is a small, compact fitting that projects very little, which is what makes it usable in a hallway.

Where it works: as a bedside wall light in a pair, along a hallway, or flanking a chimney breast in a living room.
