A large speckled resin dome hangs low over a dining table, its mottled grey textured finish reading like cast stone rather than a manufactured shade.

The dome is cast resin with a fine speckled texture running across its whole surface, giving it the look of a hand-finished ceramic or stone piece rather than a moulded fitting, its sculptural shape reading like an art object as much as a light. Lit from within, a single lamp glows out through the open underside while the resin shell itself stays matte and opaque, so the light pools downward onto the table rather than washing the walls. Hung singly over a dining table or in a living room it reads as a sculptural centrepiece; grouped in three it suits a longer kitchen island.

Where it works: over a dining table as a single statement piece, in a living room as a lone centrepiece, or as a group of two or three over a kitchen island.
