Semnan Desk Lamp

A mirror polished nickel task lamp with a jointed swing arm and a small cone shade, built to be aimed at a page rather than at a room.

Two knuckle joints, one at the top of the stem and one where the arm meets the head, let the shade be pushed out over a desk and angled down onto the work. The cone is narrow and open at the bottom, so the light lands as a defined pool instead of spreading, which is what makes this a working lamp rather than a decorative one. Everything is polished steel in a bright nickel finish that mirrors whatever sits around it, so it wants a tidy desk to look right. A toggle switch sits on the weighted round base, within reach of the hand holding the book.

Where it works: on a home office desk, on a hallway console beside a set of keys, or on a living room side table for reading.

A polished finish shows every fingerprint, so a soft cloth is part of owning it. The cone is narrow, so a small candle or golf ball style lamp will sit inside it better than a large one.
