Qazvin Lamp Shade

An easy fit shade wound in black jute string, waisted at the middle and flared top and bottom above and below.

The string is wound tightly around a frame with just enough gap between the turns to let light through in fine vertical lines, so the shade glows in stripes rather than sitting as a solid black shape. A flat black band wraps the waist and hides the joint where the two flares meet. The profile is the interesting part: rather than a straight drum it pulls in at the middle and opens out again above and below, which throws light up to the ceiling as well as down. Easy fit means it clips onto an existing pendant flex with no tools, and no holder or flex is supplied with it.

Where it works: a living room, a bedroom, or a dining room where there is already a pendant flex hanging and only the shade needs changing.

This is a shade and nothing else. If there is no pendant flex already hanging in the ceiling, a holder and a rose have to be bought separately.
