Neyshabur Picture Light

A slim brass tube on a central bracket with an LED strip built into its underside, sized to sit above a picture or across a mirror.

The whole body is brass with a polished surface and a clear lacquer over it to slow oxidation, so it stays bright rather than going dull the way raw brass does. The light comes from a strip set into the underside of the tube, hidden from anyone standing in front of it, which is what stops a picture light from glaring back at the viewer. The bracket is central and shallow, so the bar sits close to the wall, and the same fitting works equally well over art and over a mirror.

Where it works: above a framed picture in a home office, over a mirror in a hallway, or across artwork in a living room.

Solid brass ages if left unlacquered, so keep cleaning to a soft, dry cloth to protect the surface.
