Bijou Pendant Light

A deep glossy wine red dome with a second white bowl hanging inside it, so what you see from below is a soft white disc set in a ring of red.

The outer shade is a plain powder coated hemisphere in a high gloss that picks up a long highlight around its curve. Inside it a smaller white bowl sits below the lamp and blocks the direct view of it, which is why the light coming out is even and glare free rather than a bright point in a dark dome. The two together make the fitting read as concentric circles from underneath. It hangs on a black fabric covered flex with the drop adjustable at installation.

Where it works: over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or in a dining room where a single strong colour is wanted overhead.
