The disc is a shallow acrylic diffuser panel finished in white, with the LED sealed inside so there is no bulb to change and no visible light source through the flat surface, just an even wash of light. No water rating is confirmed for this listing, so do not install it in a bathroom until that is settled with the supplier in writing; treat it as suited to a hallway or landing ceiling instead. It is designed to sit flush against the ceiling with minimal depth below the surface.
