Naser Pendant Light

The largest of the three ring sizes, a flat brass band set with alabaster tiles, hung level on fine wires as a single lit halo.

At this size the ring stops being a light over a table and becomes the object that organises the room. Rectangular tiles of alabaster sit upright around the outer face of a shallow brass band, each one lit separately with a dark seam between it and the next, so from below the circle reads as a broken line of warm light. The inner face is plain brass and returns some of that light downward. It needs height above it and clear floor beneath it, and the ceiling fixing is not a trivial job at this scale.

Where it works: a double height dining room, a stairwell void, or a hallway with the ceiling height to let a wide circle sit clear.
