Rayhan Wall Light

A smooth matt black dome on a straight stem, crossing a brushed brass plate mounted on a round black backplate, with the lamp visible under the shade.

The dome is spun metal with a plain matt black finish inside and out, deep enough to hide the lamp from anyone standing to the side and open enough to put light straight down. The stem runs through a brushed brass plate that sits proud of the round backplate, which is where the two finishes meet and what gives the fitting its graphic look. The supplier states that both the stem and the shade adjust, so the height of the dome and the angle it points can be set after installation.

Where it works: over a reading corner chair, at a bedside as a task light, or in a living room aimed at a shelf.
