These terms govern your purchase from cheragh.co.uk. Nothing here removes or limits your rights as a consumer under UK law. Where anything in these terms conflicts with those rights, your rights win.

How an order is made

You place an order at checkout. That is an offer to buy.
Within one working day we email you to confirm the piece, the finish you chose and the current delivery information. The contract forms when we send that confirmation email. Until it is sent you may withdraw your order for a full refund. After it, you keep the right to cancel set out in our returns policy.
The product page shows the supplier’s UK shipping estimate. Processing before dispatch can add time, so this is not a guaranteed arrival date. We deliver within 30 days of your order unless we have expressly agreed a different delivery period with you. If we cannot meet the agreed delivery period, we tell you promptly and you may cancel for a full refund.
If we cannot fulfil an order, because an item is unavailable or a price was wrong, we will tell you and refund you in full. We do not hold your money against an order we cannot deliver.

How our products are supplied

Our current catalogue is sourced through AliExpress. After you place an order, we place the matching order with the supplier for delivery to you. We remain responsible for your purchase, customer service and consumer rights. Product materials, finishes and features are described on each listing. Delivery estimates vary by product; check the product page and our delivery page before ordering.

Your right to cancel is set out in our returns policy.

Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is free on every accepted UK order, with no minimum spend and no delivery fee at checkout. We may change prices, but never after you have placed an order. If a product is listed at a clearly wrong price we will contact you before doing anything, and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Product descriptions and images

We describe what a piece looks like and photograph it as accurately as we can. Screens render colour differently, and a photograph of a lit fitting is not a measurement of its output. Where a listing shows a room set, you receive the fitting described, not the room. If a listing is ever wrong or unclear, tell us and we will fix it and make it right for you.

Electrical safety

Mains-wired lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the current wiring regulations. We supply fittings; we do not install them and we cannot advise on your wiring. Improper installation may make a fitting unsafe and is not a fault we can be responsible for.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We are not liable for losses arising from installation carried out by someone else.

Using the site

The content, images and text on this site belong to us or our suppliers. You may not copy them for commercial use. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or use it fraudulently.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may instead bring proceedings in your own courts, and if you are resident elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the place you live.
