Brass Ceiling Lights

Brass runs through the fitting rather than the shade in most of this group, as a mounting plate, a scalloped collar or a canopy holding up a glass or crystal dome. Finishes stretch from antique and brushed through to burnished brass, so the metal reads differently depending on the piece, from bright and contemporary to older and softer. Shapes include fluted domes, pleated opal bowls and faceted crystal covers, all sitting close to the ceiling. Kitchen island, hallway and living room are common rooms for these, and the brass trim tends to read warmer under a low ceiling than a cooler chrome collar would.
