Taraneh Pendant Light

A flat plate of glossy amber glass with a bare globe bulb hanging just below it, 22cm from ceiling plate to bulb, so the light is thrown down and back up off the glass at the same time.

There is very little to this fitting and that is the point. A wide flat disc of glazed amber glass sits on a slim cap, the lamp hangs directly underneath in full view, and a black fabric flex runs to the ceiling. Because the shade is a plate rather than a bowl, it does not trap the light. It cuts glare from directly above the table while letting the glow spread sideways across the ceiling. The gloss on the glass reads as a solid block of amber when the light is off, which is why it works hung in a row or against a plain wall.

Where it works: in a row over a kitchen island, low over a dining table, or as a single drop beside a bed in the bedroom.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.
