A broad woven disc with an undulating rim, so the edge lifts and falls rather than sitting flat, and the light spills unevenly in a way a straight shade never does.

The cane is laid on the diagonal and crossed, which builds a dense lattice with fine gaps rather than a plain over and under weave. Lit from inside, those gaps put a soft freckled pattern on the ceiling around the fitting, and the shade itself glows warm across its whole span. The rim is deliberately irregular, dipping and rising around the circumference, so from a seated position at a table the silhouette changes as you move. It is unstained rattan, honey coloured, hung on a single central stem from a small ceiling plate.

Where it works: centred over a dining table where the underside is seen from below, or in a living room as the one textured object in an otherwise plain ceiling.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.
