A flat disc of white marble with heavy purple veining, mounted straight onto the wall, with a brushed nickel dome at the centre hiding the lamp behind it.

The stone is the reason to buy it. A white ground carrying broad burgundy and purple veins that run right across the face and off the edge, so no two discs are cut alike and the pattern reads from across a room. The brushed nickel dome at the centre is small, solid and brushed, and it sits proud of the stone to conceal the lamp behind it. Light escapes around the dome and opens out as a warm halo across the marble, catching the veins and stopping short of the rim. Off, it works as a piece of stone on the wall, which is the sensible way to judge it, since it gives atmosphere rather than useful task light. This 25cm disc is the larger of the two sizes.

Where it works: a hallway where a flat fitting will not be knocked, a living room chimney breast, or a bedroom above a chest of drawers.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.

If you need conformity documentation for a particular fitting, ask before you order and we will request it from the supplier. We do not make a blanket compliance claim across the range, because the paperwork varies by item.
