An irregular molten sphere in a warm gold mirror finish, hung on a clear cable, that reflects the room around it when it is off and glows from the inside when it is on.

The shade is not a true sphere. It is a molten form, pulled and dimpled as though it were caught mid pour, so every face of it catches a different piece of the room and the highlights move as you walk past. The surface is a polished gold mirror finish over a light acrylic shell, which is why a shade this size can hang on a thin clear cable and a small chrome ceiling cup. Lit, the metallising is thin enough to let the lamp read through it, and the filament appears smeared and doubled across the inside of the form rather than as a clean point. It is a single fitting doing the work of an ornament, so it wants a spot where it can be seen from all sides. This is the 28cm shade.

Where it works: low over a dining room table, above a kitchen island, or in a living room corner where it can hang free and be seen in the round.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.

If you need conformity documentation for a particular fitting, ask before you order and we will request it from the supplier. We do not make a blanket compliance claim across the range, because the paperwork varies by item.
