Mehrnegar Pendant Light

Four short stone drums hung in a row from a single dark wood bar, each one lit from underneath so the light lands on the worktop rather than in your eyes.

Each drum is banded, a dark timber rim top and bottom with a pale natural stone belt between them, and the stone is pitted and lightly veined so no two bands read the same. The light source is recessed into the base of every drum behind a flat diffuser, which is why the shades stay dark and sculptural from across a room and only the worktop below is lit. The suspension is four black cords from a slim dark wood bar that sits flat to the ceiling, so the fitting reads as one object rather than four pendants that happen to be near each other. It is a warm downlight, not an ambient one, and it will need something else in the room to lift the ceiling.

Where it works: over a kitchen island where the four heads can be spaced along the run, or along a dining table in a room that already has other light.

Before this is advertised, get the bar length. A four head island fitting sold without one will be returned by anyone whose island is shorter than they guessed.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.

If you need conformity documentation for a particular fitting, ask before you order and we will request it from the supplier. We do not make a blanket compliance claim across the range, because the paperwork varies by item.
