A smoked glass sphere on a slim brass stem and black cord, warm enough to soften the bulb inside without ever hiding it. This is the 25cm sphere.

The glass carries a light champagne cast, so a filament lamp behind it reads as a warm glow rather than a bare point of light. Each shade is blown to an even wall thickness and finished with a machined brass collar and stem, which is the only metal on the fitting apart from the ceiling rose. This listing is the 25cm sphere; they are sold as single pendants, which is why they are usually seen in a row rather than alone.

Where it works: in a row of three over a kitchen island, above a dining table, or singly beside a living room chair.
