Taqanak Outdoor Wall Light

A slim vertical bar of near black metal, this 100cm outdoor wall light runs one continuous line of LED light down its open edge, washing the wall it is fixed to rather than throwing a beam outwards.

The profile is narrow and square edged, so from straight on it reads as a dark stripe and from an angle the lit edge appears as a single unbroken glow with no dots or scallops in it. The finish is a flat near black that photographs slightly warm in daylight. Because the light is emitted along the side rather than the face, it grazes the surface behind it and picks up the texture of render, brick or plaster instead of flattening it. There is no visible lamp holder and no diffuser panel to yellow, and the whole fitting stands only a little way off the wall, which keeps it out of the way beside a door or along a garden path. At 100cm it is one of eight lengths in the range, so it can be matched to the height of the doorway, porch or wall it is going on.

Where it works: flanking a front door or porch, along a patio wall, or up the side of a garden building where a soft vertical line is wanted rather than a floodlit pool.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.

If you need conformity documentation for a particular fitting, ask before you order and we will request it from the supplier. We do not make a blanket compliance claim across the range, because the paperwork varies by item.
