A deep asymmetric dome, 80cm across, finished in a matt warm off white coating that reads as raw stone, so the light spills from the open underside rather than straight down. Supplied as one of a set of two.

The shade is a hemisphere sliced on the diagonal. That single cut changes how it behaves, throwing a wide soft wash out of the low side and a tight glow from the open bottom, which is why a group of them at different heights looks deliberate rather than repetitive. The surface is finished in a matt textured coating with fine grain and small pits in it, warm off white in tone, closer to plaster than to polished stone. A slim white cord and a small white ceiling plate keep the attention on the shade.

Where it works: hung as a group over a dining table, over a low table in a living room, or singly beside a bed in the bedroom.
