The glass is glossy and coloured right through rather than tinted on the surface, so the shade reads as a solid grey disc from across the room and lights up from within when it is on. The shade is two tiers, one shallow bowl stacked below the other, with a small opal diffuser at its centre that hides the source and keeps the light soft. The canopy is a plain matt black cylinder, deliberately small, which makes the shade look as though it is floating rather than hanging.

Where it works: over a dining room table at semi flush height, or in a living room where a shallow shade suits a lower ceiling.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.

If you need conformity documentation for a particular fitting, ask before you order and we will request it from the supplier. We do not make a blanket compliance claim across the range, because the paperwork varies by item.
