The opal glass shade sits held inside a bent peach-finished frame rather than fixed to a stem, with a curved peach handle arching over the top as if the whole piece could be lifted and carried like a lantern. The frame stands on three splayed peach-finished legs, wide enough at the base to keep the lamp stable without needing a heavy weighted foot. The glass glows evenly and softly rather than throwing a hard spotlight, in keeping with the relaxed, bent-frame look in this peach finish.

Where it works: beside a reading chair in a living room, in a bedroom corner, or anywhere a warm ambient glow is wanted rather than task light.
