Ashkan Flush Ceiling Light

Two overlapping rounded triangle plates, 50cm across, sit flat against the ceiling, and the light escapes from the edge channel around them rather than from any lamp you can see.

The lower plate sits slightly proud of the upper one, so by day the fitting reads as a piece of matt white sculpture and after dark as a thin ribbon of light tracing both outlines. Each panel is a flat plate of painted metal with a continuous glow along its perimeter, which gives a soft, diffused wash across the ceiling and no bright point to look at directly. The whole thing is shallow front to back, so it clears a low ceiling where a hanging fitting would be in the way, and the flat white finish disappears into a painted or plastered ceiling when it is off.

Where it works: a bedroom, a living room, or a landing with a low ceiling where a pendant would sit too close to head height.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.
