The shade is a single continuous column of finely pleated black fabric, square rather than round in profile, running the full height of the lamp so the light glows in an even band rather than pooling at one point. It stands on a small square chrome base plate, keeping the visual weight in the tall fabric column rather than the foot.

What comes in the box is listed on every product page under What is included. Most fittings arrive without a bulb so you can choose the brightness and warmth yourself. Some carry an integrated LED instead, and a few items are a shade or a bulb on their own.
